After briefly working in industry, Sue joined the University of Southampton in July 1986, initially working within the Postgraduate Medical Centre at University Hospital Southampton
In July 1988, Sue moved to the Wolfson Unit to provide administrative support to the team of consulting engineers.

What does your role entail?
I undertake any general administration required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Wolfson Unit. This covers a wide range of things from dealing with emails, setting up customer accounts, invoicing, completing documentation including NDA’s, preparing quotations for software sales etc. If something needs doing and I can do it or assist a colleague, I will!
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy working as part of the team and seeing the wide range of innovative and exciting projects that my Unit colleagues undertake for our clients.
What do you see as the Wolfson Unit’s Strengths?
The Unit staff have a wide range of expertise built up over many years. We are based at the University of Southampton which enables us to use world class facilities with access to academic and research staff to assist with projects outside our knowledge base if required.
What would you say to a company that was considering using The Wolfson Unit’s services?
